Come Worship With Us!

Our Evangelism Department has a two-fold responsibility.

1.  Sharing what we, as Christians, know about Jesus for the purpose of leading people into a personal relationship with God,

2.  Providing encouragement, prayer and pastoral support to members of our church and their families, visitors,  and to anyone else desiring our assistance.

This department provides ministry to:  Convalescent Facilities, Juvenile Hall, Intercessory Prayer, Hospital Visitations/Chaplains, Grief (Loss) Ministry, Encouragement, and a variety of witnessing/evangelistic opportunities.

Fine Arts

The purpose of the Fine Arts Department is to edify, the Body of Christ and to teach the Word of God through the Arts.

Jesus & Company and Edify-U, are the drama arms of the fine arts department. We minister healing, redemption, and hope to all through theatrical presentations.

Psalm Shabach, our Choir, ministers at the Sunday morning service. We sing a variety of music such as Gospel, Contemporary Christian songs, Negro Spirituals and Classical music.

Teen Ministry

To prepare the youth for real-world conflicts; to be strong in faith, become prayer warriors,  discover their gifts and disciple others.

Christian Education

The LAFSC Christian Education Department assists in the ongoing spiritual growth of adults and youth members, by the teaching of foundational biblical principles. The CE Department consists of various ministries:

Our Preschool (ages 3-4), Primary (ages 5-9), Juniorway (10-12), Teens I (13-15), Teens II (16-18) education classes meet every Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. These classes are taught by a staff of very caring, capable, and Live Scanned volunteers.

Youth Services (ages 4-19)
2nd and 4th Sundays (11 am to 12 noon)

SOULdiers (ages 10-19)
Third Sundays (11 am to 12 noon)

The children/youth are taught both character building and developing lessons from carefully selected curriculum.

This class is geared to adult participants. It meets every Sunday morning from 9:00 to 9:50 a.m. Sound, in-depth lessons are presented  on a variety of biblical topics, and are designed to promote edification and spiritual growth. Adult Sunday school is a great way to start the Sunday morning worship process. All are invited to attend this highly interesting and engagingly interactive class.
